Reno Rodeo Denim Drive: "Dream Jackets" Auction

Posted: Updated:

You only have a few hours left to bid on a jean jacket designed by one of our anchors. Proceeds help area abused and neglected children.

The "Dream Jacket" campaign from the Reno Rodeo Foundation is new this year. A handful of news professionals, including Channel 2's Kristen Remington, Wendy Damonte and Arianna Bennett, teamed up with foster youth artists to design one-of-a-kind jackets that are being auctioned off to raise money for the Denim Drive.

The Denim Drive collects new denim clothing, socks and underwear for foster kids of all ages. 100% of the monetary donations will go right back into the community with the purchase of even more clothes for kids in need.

The auction is happening right now on eBay. Bids start at $55. The auction will be open until Friday, December 13th. Here are links to the Channel 2 jackets.

The actual Denim Drive runs until December 16th and there are a number of drop off locations. You can find the list at

You can also "Donate a Dollar for Denim" at all Nevada State Bank branches, Papa Murphy's pizza locations, Scolari's Food & Drug and Sak 'N Save grocery stores.
