Posted: Updated:

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is asking the public for help investigating how a woman ended up walking along U.S. 395 the day before Thanksgiving.

Deputies say the unidentified woman was spotted trying to flag down vehicles in the north lanes of the highway between the Red Rock Road and White Lake Parkway exits around 8:30pm on Thanksgiving Eve.

Deputies say it may have appeared to drivers that was trying to jump in front of oncoming vehicles.

Deputies met with her and she is now safe, however they would like to talk to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area.

If you did, call detectives at 328-3320.

You can also call Secret Witness at 322-4900 or text your tip to 847411 or go online to www.secretwitness.com.
