Circus Circus Starts Installing Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Posted: Updated:

Circus Circus Reno has started installing electric vehicle charging stations inside its downtown garage.

Partnered with Nevada Electric Vehicle Accelerator, casino engineers started running conduits from their electrical room to their garage.

Once finished, customers can charge their vehicles for free.

Circus Circus representatives say they're seeing more and more places installing charging stations as demand increases.

"The university just installed two charging stations, Harrah's also has them too, so we're seeing more and more demand, more and more customers are driving these electric vehicles," says Chief Engineer Mike Miller.

Circus Circus says their stations should be online by Christmas.

The Peppermill Resort Hotel in Reno also recently installed electric vehicle charging station stations on the fourth floor of their garage.

The University of Nevada's two Verdek ChargePoint Stations are in the Brian J. Whalen and West Stadium Parking complexes on campus.
