You may have noticed a few roads in Sparks were blocked off early Thursday morning as hundreds of runners took part in an annual "turkey trot."
"It felt like, my body's in pain; I feel everything all over, every single joint in my body, it feels good though," says Desmond Muir of Coleville.
The Scheels Turkey Trot at the Sparks Marina is a 10k race across city streets held every Thanksgiving.
Participants said the trot was a good way to burn a few calories before feasting this afternoon and evening.
But we wanted to know does an early run mess up the holiday plans?
"No not really, I got up early, put my turkey in the oven, had it ready, had everything else made last night so I'll pop it in the over when I get home," says Jackie Geraets-Rauh of Carson City.
For those who didn't want to run - there was also a two mile walk around the marina.
