The Nevada Highway Patrol says a rollover near Tonopah has killed a woman, while her husband suffered injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The accident happened on U.S. Highway 6 in Esmeralda County, appoximately 13 miles west of Tonopah around 6:30pm Wednesday.

Troopers say 54-year-old Becky W. Olsen of Harpster, Idaho was driving west on Highway 6 when she drifted off the roadway. And that's when she overcorrected and ultimately overturned her 1993 Subaru Outback.

Troopers say she was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car. She died at the scene.

Her passenger and husband, 51-year-old Barry C. Olsen, suffered minor to moderate injuries and was transported to Nye Regional Medical Center in Tonopah where he was released Thursday morning.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
