From Truckee Meadows Tomorrow:
When it comes to quality of life, everyone can and should take it personally. That's the message of a video contest being held by Truckee Meadows Tomorrow.
The "Take It Personally" contest challenges Truckee Meadows residents and businesses to depict visually the ways in which they contribute to quality of life in our community. To enter, simply produce a digital video no longer than 25 seconds and submit it to www.truckeemeadowstomorrow.org
The contest runs through December 31, 2013. Complete details, contest rules and submission instructions are posted at www.truckeemeadowstomorrow.org.
The following cash prizes will be awarded to winners in the Individual/Family category: First place, $300; second place, $150; third place, $50. The winner in the Business/Organization category will receive sponsorship of a TMT Indicator, valued at $1,000. The winning videos will be posted on TMT's website, broadcast on local media, promoted on social media and used as a call to action to other communities.
Winners will be announced at TMT's upcoming community forum on January 23, 2014, beginning at 5 p.m. at Renown Regional Medical Center's Mack Auditorium. The gathering will include a celebration of TMT's return to full function after a period of inactivity.
"Our board took a deliberate step back to assess the sustainability of Truckee Meadows Tomorrow," said TMT President Patty Downs. "After evaluation and input from a variety of stakeholders, we learned that TMT is important and needed for our community. So, we're happy to announce that we're back with renewed energy and focus!"
