Churchill Deputies Seek ID From Woman's Remains

Posted: Updated:

The Churchill County Sheriff's Office needs your help identifying a woman whose partial remains were found near the I-80 Jessup Exit last summer.

Deputies say the woman's remains were found in a shallow grave north of Interstate 80 on August 18th.

An examination revealed the woman suffered extensive trauma within a month or two before her death. The trauma includes, but is not limited to fractured ribs and jaw. Deputies say she had received medical treatment for the broken jaw and still had orthodonic arch bars in place.

An artist's rendering released on Monday show what the woman may have looked like. They say she was 25-46 years old, was between 5'5"-5'6" and was Caucasian.

If you have any information that can help deputies, call the Churchill County Sheriff's Office at 775.423.3116 or Secret Witness at 775.423.0110. Your call will remain anonymous and you could be eligible for a reward.
