The Eldorado Hotel Casino in downtown Reno will light up its Christmas tree on Thanksgiving Day.
Monday, crews worked on getting 2,400 bulbs installed on a 40 foot pole on the roof of the building.
Once it's lit up at midnight, it'll be visible from across the Truckee Meadows. "It's like a Reno icon I would say, because it is spectacular, it is. It's pretty cool," says Eldorado Chief Engineer Jody Eddy.
The Eldorado has been lighting the tree every year for more than two decades.
Most of the tree is lit with energy efficient LED bulbs, which were installed last year.
