Black Friday store hours for several major retailers:

Meadowood Mall - open Thanksgiving evening at 8 p.m.

The Legends at Sparks Marina - open Thanksgiving night at 8 p.m.

The Summit - open at 8 a.m. on Friday.

Shoppers Square - opens 11 a.m. on Friday with the annual Christmas parade.

Grassroots Books - (660 E. Grove Street) - opens at 5:30 a.m. on Friday. As an added bonus, customers will receive a voucher for two free books each month through next October.

REI - opens at 7 a.m. Friday.

Cabela's - opens at 5 a.m. on Friday.

Scheels - opens at 7 a.m. on Friday.

Sportsman's Warehouse - opens at 6 a.m. on Friday.

Midtown Reno's "Black Friday Event" begins at 9 a.m. A 'Holiday Dash' discount guide is also being offered through December 31st.

Best Buy Stores - Open until 10 p.m. on Friday.

J.C. Penney - Open until 9 p.m. on Friday.

Kohl's - Open until midnight on Saturday.

Macy's - Open until about 10 p.m. on Friday at most stores

Sears - Open until 10 p.m. on Friday.

Kmart - Open until 11 p.m. on Friday.

Staples - Open 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday.

Target - Open until 11 p.m. on Friday.

Toys R Us - Open until 10 p.m. on Friday.

Bed Bath & Beyond - Opens Friday at 6 a.m.

Sports Authority - Opens at 6 a.m. on Friday.

World Market - Opens Friday at 7 a.m.

RadioShack hours vary by location. Check your preferred location beforehand.

Wal-Mart - Open 24 hours at most stores.

Home Depot - Opens Friday at 5 a.m.

Office Depot - Open at 8 a.m.

Big 5 Sporting Goods - Opens at 5 a.m. on Friday.

Michaels - Open at 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving until 2 a.m., and then reopens at 7 a.m. on Friday.

Old Navy - Open at 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Sam's Club - Opens at 7 a.m. on Friday.

Joann Fabric and Craft Stores - Open Friday at 6 a.m.

Office Max - Opens at 5 a.m. on Friday.

RC Willey - Opens at 8 a.m. on Friday.

Stein Mart - Opens at 7 a.m. on Friday. 

Ulta - Opens at midnight on Friday.

Big Lots - Opens at 6 a.m. on Friday. 

Guitar Center - Opens at 6 a.m. on Friday.

    The Placer County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help to identify two suspects involved in a series of burglaries from March. Secret Witness is offering a cash reward of $750 to find two people who were involved in vehicle burglaries on Mt. Rose Highway, residential burglaries at North Lake Tahoe and fraudulent use of credit cards.

    The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) reports that there will be emergency paving repairs on Highway 89 and Highway 49 this week. Drivers traveling Highway 89 in between Sierraville and Sattley, and Highway 49 in Loyalton can expect lane closures and one-way traffic controls.
