Local Businesses Raising Money for Reno Boy's Heart Surgery

Posted: Updated:

Several local businesses are raising money this weekend for a Reno boy who needs heart valve replacement surgery.

Kaelan was born with heart problems and had his first heart valve replacement surgery when he was two months old. The valve is now failing and needs to be replaced.

Homage Bakery is collecting donations from customers. The owner says they will also donate 10% of their sales Friday and Saturday to help the family. On Sunday, JJ's Sushi will also be donating 10% of their daily sales to help the family.

Kaelan's father has been on several deployments and now must work out of state to support the family, so organizers say every little bit will help.

Homage Bakery is located at 519 Ralston Street in Reno. For more information, give them a call at 323-8952

JJ's Sushi is located at 2868 Vista Boulevard.
