India Kabab and Curry and We Care About Kids Nevada invite Reno to a night of entertainment and great food Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Proceeds from the event benefit Duwell Medical, helping underprivileged people in Bangladesh who receive little to no medical attention.
Tickets for the event will be sold at the restaurant or online at duwell.eventbrite.com for $20, and $10 for students. Drink tickets, food and live entertainment will fill the building all evening.
"Our achievement is huge, and Reno should be proud," said Kowsar Khan, founder of Duwell Medical. "The Reno community worked together supporting this international medical effort. India Kabab and Curry's participation is a reminder of how collective caring can go a long way."
Duwell Medical uses all donations to bring standard medical care to Bangladesh, where basic health care isn't guaranteed. Less than 300 hospital beds are available to the city populated with over 400,000 people. Exclusivity and limited healthcare resources cause Bangladesh to have high rates of malaria, leprosy and polio. Duwell Medical is working to build a new hospital to provide health education, and give out mosquito nets for malaria prevention.
