104.1 KRZQ has officially announced its 2013 campaign to help the local community through a toy and food drive called "A Day To Remember For The Kids." The toy and food drive enjoins the public to donate a new, unwrapped children's toy or five non-]perishable food items and, in exchange for their generosity, receive a ticket to see American rock band A Day To Remember.

A Day To Remember's last trip to Northern Nevada was in October 2009 when they played to over 1,000 fans at a venue in Sparks.

With A Day To Remember's help, 104.1 KRZQ hopes to raise a significant amount of aid for local
charities, including the Food Bank of Northern, Kids Kottage, and other local charities to be announced.

A Day To Remember has offered to play this benefit for free as a limited acoustic set with 104.1
KRZQ covering some expenses. The Knitting Factory in Reno has also very generously agreed to donate their room without charge. This allows KRZQ to host nearly 1,300 people.

Beginning Monday November 18 at 10am, 104.1 KRZQ will allow the public to come by its offices at 510 E. Plumb Lane to make their donations and pickup a concert ticket. After Monday KRZQ will accept donations during regular business hours (M-]F 8:30a-]5:30p) until tickets run out.
The event takes place at the Knitting Factory in Downtown Reno (211 N. Virginia) on Saturday December 14th, 2013. Doors will open to ticket holders at 5pm. While unlikely, if any tickets remain at that time, donations will be accepted at the venue.

A Day To Remember's limited acoustic performance will start at 6pm and be completed by the
time the Reno Santa Pub Crawl begins.
