Things 2 Do This Weekend

We are well into fall and the holiday events are picking up. This weekend St. Ives Florist and Gift Show kicks off the holiday shopping with its annual Holiday Open House. Every year they transform their shop into a winter wonderland for the holidays. That's Saturday starting at 10 am. This is also a great weekend for local stage shows at Bruka Theatre and it's a long weekend to boot…with Veterans Day parades and celebrations on Monday.

Friends of Snowshoe Thompson present an historic evening in Genoa Town Hall, 7-9 pm

It's a chance to travel through time and see the characters of Snowshoe Thompson and his friends. And it in the historic setting of the Genoa Town Hall starting at 7 pm.

19th Annual MASH Bash Dance Party at the Ramada

This annual event by the Reno Jazz Society features live music from 4pm until 11:30 Saturday night to the theme of MASH. It's at the Ramada on 6th Street and all proceeds benefit the Veterans Administrative Volunteer Services

Friends of the Washoe County Library book sale Reno Town Mall, 10am-5pm

They have set up their shop at the Reno Town Mall and the sale will start on Saturday and run daily through November 17th. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Veterans Exhibit, Sparks United Methodist Church, 10am

A veteran's exhibit/recognition will be held at the Sparks United Methodist Church. Eighteen members will be there with mementos of service from WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam, Iraq-Afghanistan Wars. The exhibits will be in the Fellowship Hall from 10am-11am and from noon-1pm. The Fellowship Hall is at the north side entrance of the church.
