Discounted/Free Deals for Military Members on Veterans Day

Many area businesses are offering deals for military members on Veterans Day:

Milan Institute of Cosmetology is offering free haircuts until 9:30pm. They're located at 950 Industrial Way in Sparks. 775-438-7200

On Monday, November 11, participating Meineke Centers will provide free basic oil changes to all veterans and active-duty military personnel, as well as spouses of deployed members. The service includes up to five quarts of standard motor oil, and a standard oil filter.

On Monday, November 11,, customers who come in for a haircut at any U.S. Great Clips salon will receive a free haircut card to give to an active/inactive/retired military member of any branch, including the National Guard. Military members can also come in on Veterans Day for a free haircut or to pick up a free haircut card to use, with proof of service, any day before Dec. 31, 2013.

On Monday, November 11th, veterans and active duty military can choose from a free signature Thank You Meal menu that includes some of Applebee's favorite items, including a 7 oz. House Sirloin, Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger, Three-Cheese Chicken & Sundried Tomato Penne, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Double Crunch Shrimp, Chicken Tenders Platter or Oriental Chicken Salad. Must present valid Veteran's form of identification or be in uniform.

Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal from a special Veterans Day menu on Monday Nov. 11th at Chili's. Must show proof of military service.

All United States armed forces veterans and active military members get a free order of Crazy Bread® with proof of military status at participating Little Caesar's stores nationwide.

At Olive Garden, all veterans and military active duty will receive a free meal from a special menu on Veterans Day. Also, all November current military service members and their families get 10% off in honor of Military Appreciation Month.

All Veterans and Active Duty Military get a free Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries at Red Robin.

From Nov. 11 – Nov. 14, service members receive a complimentary Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcohol beverage at Red Lobster. Includes veterans and current service members.

On November 11th, in honor of Veterans Day, Famous Dave's would like to thank former and current military personnel for their dedication and commitment to our country by offering a FREE "Two-Meat Salute". Veterans must have a valid military ID present to claim this offer.

Tip-A-Vet will also be held on Veteran's Day at the Reno location of Famous Dave's. Elks #597 will be on-site collecting tips and donations to support local veterans and their families in need. All donations stay in Northern Nevada and will go to programs such as; Operation Feedback, the Veteran's Guest House, and other Elks Veterans Programs. These are all local and not for profit organizations that receive no State or Federal Funding. If you are not able to attend, you can still donate by using a Visa, Mastercard, Check or Cash.
