From the Wilbur D. May Museum:
Thanksgiving is just weeks away, but sadly not all Reno residents will have a feast to enjoy. Last year the Food Bank of Northern Nevada distributed more than 12.8 million meals to low-income children, seniors, and families. You can help make sure that no one in our community goes hungry this holiday season, during the second annual Entry for Entrees Food Drive at the Wilbur D. May Museum.
Last year we collected 77 pounds of food – and we want to double that this year! In the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving just bring two canned or boxed non-perishable food items and you'll receive free admission to the Museum. Kids will also receive a special holiday scavenger hunt.
The Wilbur May Museum is home to Reno's most unique collection of rare artifacts from around the world and taxidermy.
The Entry for Entrees Food Drive is Wednesday, November 13 – Sunday, November 24 at the Wilbur D. May Museum, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park at 1595 N. Sierra Street in Reno.
Admission is 2 canned or boxed non-perishable food items.
For more information call (775) 785-5961 or go to www.maycenter.com.
Located within Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, the Wilbur D. May Center is managed by the Washoe County Community Services Department and continues to receive generous support from the Wilbur May Foundation.
