The Santa Paws Project to Help Humane Society, SPCA

Posted: Updated:

This year's Santa Paws Project will help area animals in need and honor Stewie the Cat's memory at the same time.

Stewie's owner Robin Hendrickson says she came up with the idea late last year before her beloved cat got cancer and died earlier this year. She wanted to bring back a good Christmas feeling to people's lives.

To honor Stewie's memory, Robin Hendrickson has decided to carry on this tradition with an expansion with help thanks to Help U Mail and Nevada Rubber Stamp Co.

This year's donations will be divided between the Nevada Humane Society and the Northern Nevada SPCA.

He also held the record for the World's Longest Tail on a Domestic Cat. He was also a certified therapy cat and frequently visited people at the Regent Care Center.
