Fire Crews Investigating Explosion in Reno Home

Posted: Updated:

Fire investigators are trying to figure out what led to an explosion inside a home.

It happened just after 8:30 Thursday night on the 800 block of Stoker Avenue in Reno.

Fire crews say when they got to the home it was fully engulfed in flames.

Crews immediately went in to search for anyone who may be inside. The search turned up empty, so they began working to extinguish the flames.
Crews say the main level of the home is unlivable and the red cross will be helping the family find a place to stay.

No one was injured in the fire.

The cause is still under investigation.
