Zombies Overtake Downtown Reno

Posted: Updated:

Zombies of all shapes and sizes invaded downtown Reno Saturday night, and local bars and restaurants were happy to see them. This year's annual Zombie Crawl through downtown Reno is one of the biggest they've ever had.

"We have 49 stops on the Zombie Crawl this year," said Ed Adkins, the Reno Zombie Crawl Creator and Organizer. "It's gonna be another great year."

The Zombie Crawl was part of a day filled with Zombies for downtown Reno. There was a 5K run called the "No Brainer" this morning in Wingfield Park, a flash mob of "Thriller" under the arch at 6 this evening and tonight's Zombie Crawl that started at 8 p.m. and is expected to go late into the zombie hours.

Police are out in force to make sure none of the zombies is brainless enough to try and drive after they've been drinking.
