A Celebration of Life is scheduled Sunday for Master Sgt. Michael Landsberry, who died during the Sparks Middle School shooting.

It will take place at 3pm inside Sparks Christian Fellowship located at 510 Greenbrae Avenue.

During the Celebration of Life, Landsberry's casket will be present and he will receive full military honors including an honor guard 21-gun salute and the presentation of national colors to his family. Family and officials including Gov. Brian Sandoval are set to provide remarks during the Celebration of Life.

(A public viewing will take place the day before from 9am to 6pm at Walton's Funeral Home located at 1745 Sullivan Lane.)

Funeral overflow parking for the public will be located in a vacant lot located south of Richards Way, east of Pyramid Way (formerly Raley's shopping center). Use caution when driving and walking on the unpaved/unfinished and vacant lot.

It is expected that SCF will exceed capacity. Greenbrae Elementary School (across 4thstreet from SCF) will be open to accommodate a limited number of members of the public who can view the funeral service via television.

Police say 45-year-old Landsberry died while trying to intervene during the 7:15am shooting. Two other students were injured in the shooting. One of those victims, 12-year-old Mason, spoke to CNN Thursday about his experience.

Sparks Police say 12-year-old Jose Reyes shot Landsberry in the chest, before turning the gun on himself.

Landsberry was a member of the Nevada Air National Guard and a Marine.
