Washoe County, City of Reno Closures for Friday

Reno City Hall and City Administrative Offices will be closed Friday, October 25, 2013 in observance of Nevada Day.

For holidays hours for recreation facilities please visit Reno.gov.

Even with City offices closed, residents can still visit Reno.gov and access the "Online Services" menu to pay parking tickets, sewer bills, court fees, register for classes, file a police report, or enter a service request for Reno Direct.

Don't forget the inaugural Nevada Wolf Pack March from the Arch will be held in downtown Reno on October 25, 2013 and will celebrate the University, alumni and their families and the City of Reno. The March from the Arch will feature University homecoming floats, the marching band and various alumni and businesses in the community marching up Virginia Street at 7:30 p.m., to the University quad for a pep rally and lighting of the "Burning Wolf".

The Reno City Council wants to remind, encourage, and challenge the community to wear their UNR clothing at the March from the Arch and also on Wolf Pack Fridays.

From Washoe County:

Most Washoe County offices will be closed Friday, Oct. 25 for the Nevada Day holiday.
The following will be closed:
 •Administrative offices at the Washoe County Complex on Ninth Street in Reno.
 •Washoe County Senior Services facilities.
 •All Washoe County Libraries. The downtown Reno and the Spanish Springs libraries will also be closed on Thursday, Oct. 24. The following libraries will be open on Thursday, Oct. 24: Duncan/Traner, Incline Village, North Valleys, Northwest Reno, Senior Center, Sierra View, South Valleys and Sparks.
 •The Washoe County District Court.
 •The Washoe County District Attorney's Office.
The following will be open:
 •The Washoe County Sheriff's Office reception/front desk.
 •The office of the County Clerk at the Washoe County Complex on Ninth Street and Wells Avenue in Reno will remain open throughout the holiday from 8 a.m. to midnight for the issuance of marriage licenses, fictitious firm name and notary bond filings, as well as property tax payments for the Treasurer's Office.
