Police have released tapes from the 911 dispatcher, moments after they were flooded with calls after Monday's shooting at Sparks Middle School.

"Active shooter, Sparks Middle School. 2275 18th Street. They have at least two down, one in the dropoff area for the busses. Suspect is described as wearing khaki pants."

Police say they arrived at school grounds three minutes after the first 911 call. They say around 7:15am, a Sparks Middle School student killed a teacher and injured two fellow students before turning the semi-automatic gun on himself.

"Units responding to Sparks, teacher down on the playground. They have one victim in the cafeteria, one in the hall."

Autorities have since identified the teacher as Michael Landsberry - a well-liked math instructor and member of the Marines and the Nevada Air National Guard. The Guard will hold a briefing at noon Tuesday.

During the 10am press briefing, police added that Landsberry coached boys basketball and girls soccer at Sparks High School. He started at Traner Middle School in 2001 and Sparks Middle School at 2006.

The two male students remain hospitalized at Renown Regional Medical Center. Families are asking no further updates be released on their conditions.

Classes are canceled for the rest of this week at Sparks Middle School. Neighboring Agnes Risley Elementary canceled classes for today as well; classes will resume Wednesday.

A candlelight vigil is scheduled for Wednesday at 7pm in front of Sparks Middle School at 2275 18th Street. The Patriot Guard and various veteran groups will participate in an honor guard.

And the Sparks Nazarene Church will hold a community prayer this Thursday night at 6:30 pm at 2200 El Rancho Drive.
