Prescription Drug Roundup Saturday in South Lake, El Dorado County
The South Lake Tahoe Police Department will hold a prescription drug roundup this weekend.
Residents can safely and legally dispose of prescription drugs they don't want or need anymore.
The drug roundup is Saturday, October 26th from 10am to 2pm at the Safeway at 1020 Johnson Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe.
Officers say this is the perfect way to prevent pill abuse and theft-- by ridding homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
The service is free and anonymous, with no questions asked.
The DEA says that, last April alone, Americans nationwide turned in a whopping 371 tons of prescription drugs at similar events.
The DEA and El County Sheriff John D'Agostini is also holding a roundup Saturday from 10am to 2pm at:
El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, 300 Fair Lane, Placerville, Ca, 95667 El Dorado County Sheriff's Substation, 4554 Town Center Boulevard #112, El Dorado Hills, Ca, 95762 Cool Physical Therapy, 5000 Ellinghouse # 100, Cool, Ca, 95614
