Local Mothers Write, Illustrate Halloween Book

Posted: Updated:

Just 13 days 'til Halloween. And if you're already dreading all the candy your little trick-or-treaters will be bringing home...

Danielle Fabri and Angela Bigotti-Chavez co-wrote and illustrated a brand new book -- that they hope will become a wildly popular Halloween tradition -- called "The Switch Bag."

The premise? After trick-or-treating, your kids get to pick out 10 candies and leave the rest by the door - and a witch will leave a gift - in exchange.

"I did this with my boys the last two years and they woke up like it was Christmas morning. They were so excited. What did the witch bring us?!"

These women hope the new Halloween tradition will excite kids about making healthier eating decisions - while still enjoy the fun of Halloween.

"Yes, we'd love to see it that way because we know we'd be helping out a lot of parents and generating a lot of fun for kids."

You can get you copy at Sundance Books, The Discovery Museum, amazon.com and even iTunes.
