Grand Sierra Resort Holds Grand Opening for Spa

Posted: Updated:

The Grand Sierra Resort held a grand opening for its new spa on Tuesday.

The spa on the downstairs floor of the Grand Sierra had a soft opening earlier this year, but officially opened for business today.

One of their most popular treatments is the sticks and stones massage treatment.

"The hot stone just really melts that muscle tissue and then the bamboo comes in and just breaks up any kind of clusters or stress that you have built up," says Linda Richey.

The Grand Sierra spa says their technicians are highly skilled and they feel they can compete with other spas in town because their small size gives a more intimate experience for their customers.

There's also a new fitness center at the Grand Sierra as well - all part of $25 million in renovations to the casino property.
