Police Arrest Teen Boy in Connection With NE Reno Burglaries

Posted: Updated:

Reno police say they've arrested a teen boy in connection with a series of residential burglaries concentrated around a northeast section of town.

Affected neighborhoods included the Highland Apartment complex, a section of Enterprise Road and the nearby neighborhoods of Valley, Maddox and Winston Roads.

Police say the suspect would enter different apartments and houses during the daytime and steal electronic items.

On Monday, they say a resident saw a suspicious suspect near an apartment door, but then ran away when police arrived. A short later, officers say they found a teen boy matching the description near Montello Street and Oddie Boulevard. They say the juvenile admitted to the alleged crimes; he was booked on three separate burglary charges.
