Memorial Set for South Lake Tahoe Firefighter, Paramedic

An October 20th memorial date is set for a firefighter and paramedic who passed away over the weekend.

The celebration of life for 34-year-old Brandon "Mitch" Underhill will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 1041 Lyons Avenue in South Lake. It will start at 2 pm.

Lake Valley Fire Protection District Underhill passed away on Sunday after being with the district for just over eight years.

The cause of his death is still under investigation and an autopsy is pending.

Underhill is survived by his wife and two young children, his parents, and a sister and brother.

Donations can be made at any El Dorado Savings bank branch under the name of the "Underhill Family Fund."
