Woman Chases Burglars Away at Gunpoint

Posted: Updated:

Reno Police are looking for the men that tried to rob a Reno home, until the homeowner caught them in the act, before chasing them away with a gun.

RPD says two men were burglarizing a home on Hedgewood Drive, when a woman returned home to catch them in the act. Then she pulled a gun, and fired a couple of shots at the burglars. The suspects took off, dropping the stolen items in their wake.

Washoe County's RAVEN helicopter was in the area for several hours last night searching for the two men.

The pair is described as white or Hispanic men, in their teens or early twenties. They took off in two separate cars. One is a beige, four-door sedan and the other is a blue Ford Ranger truck.
