Freeze Warning Issued for Portion of Eastern Nevada

The National Weather Service in Elko has issued a freeze warning which is in effect from 11pm Thursday to 9am Friday.


26 to 32-degrees in most of the region. Normally warmer locations like Tonopah, Railroad Valley and Battle Mountain may stay just above freezing while clouds may keep temperatures just above freezing in parts of Elko County.


Temperatures will start dropping below freezing by late this evening with the coldest temperatures expected around dawn Friday morning.

Locations include:

Jackpot, Wildhorse, Owyhee, Winnemucca, McDermitt, Paradise Valley, Golconda Summit, Ely, McGill, Connors Pass, Great Basin National Park, Secret Pass, Lamoille Canyon, Harrison Pass, Austin, Austin Summit, Eureka, Diamond Valley, Pinto Summit, Battle Mountain, Emigrant Pass, Wells, Pequop Summit, Elko, Spring Creek, Carlin, Tonopah, Round Mountain, Duckwater, Currant Summit.
