BLM Announces Wild Horse Adoption Event

Posted: Updated:

The Bureau of Land Management has announced plans to auction off several wild horses from the Diamond Wild Horse Herd Management Area.

The sale is scheduled to take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 28th at the Northern Nevada Correctional Facility in Carson City.

In total, they plan to auction off 38 horses, who come in a variety of ages and colors. Unlike some other recent wild horse auctions, these horses have not been trained by inmates at the correctional center.

The Diamond Complex is located in central Nevada, in Elko, Eureka and White Pine counties.
