Reno Police Identify Possible Suspect in Sexual Assault Case

Posted: Updated:

Reno police say they've identified a possible suspect in a sexual assault that happened less than two weeks near Veterans Parkway and Wind Walker Drive.

Police say the female victim was jogging in that area around 8:20pm on September 16th when a man forced her into a nearby field and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect said he had a gun, although one was never seen. She was able to get away from the suspect and was helped by a passing car.

Police say due to the scope and nature of this investigation, the name of the suspect is being withheld at this time and that the suspect's last known location was outside of Reno/Sparks.

If there's any information you can add to help police with the case, call Secret Witness at 322-4900 or go online at www.secretwitness.com. Your tip will remain anonymous.
