Bill Pearce Courtesy Honda is giving a free car to one lucky student with perfect attendance.
Every year the car dealership hosts the "Must be Present to Win" challenge where every high school senior in Washoe County with perfect attendance is entered in a raffle to win a brand new car.
Organizers say they hold the event because inspiring kids to focus on their education can have rippling effects throughout our community.
"We all hire folks that are products of our education system and a kid who attends school and has a lot of respect for the process is going to be a good employee," says Sandy Raffealli.
This is the fifth year the dealership has held the raffle.
They say that in those five years, the number of students with perfect attendance has increased drastically.
