Fundraiser for Cleft Palate Puppy September 21 in Reno

Palomino Valley Pet Rescue needs your help supporting a puppy found wrapped in a plastic bag inside a dumpster.

Foster parent Christine Boyles says Stitch has a cleft palate and two cleft lips. Boyles says dogs with cleft palates do not typically survive due to many complications that arise with this birth defect.

He will likely need two separate surgeries, the first, scheduled for October 10th will cost about $4,200. A second surgery will be in the same price range.

For more information, you can head to his Facebook page entitled ‘Fans of Stitch.' Donations are tax deductible.

You can also send donations to:

Stone House Café will host a fundraiser Saturday, September 21st from 12pm-2pm.
