Posted: Updated:

From the Reno Bighorns:

The Reno Bighorns will hold open tryouts for the 2013-14 season October 13th in Reno at the South Reno Athletic Club and on October 20th in Sacramento at the Kings practice facility, the team announced today.

"We are looking for that diamond in the rough," said Bighorns Owner, Herb Santos, Jr. "This is your chance to show what you can do in front of Reno Bighorns and Sacramento Kings coaching staff."

The Reno tryouts will start at 9 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m. The Sacramento tryouts will run from noon to 5 p.m.

"Every year there are open tryout players that are impactful in the D-League," said Bighorns head coach Joel Abelson. "It's important for us to find players of that caliber this season."

Anyone who would like to try out is encouraged to fill out the online registration form, which can be found at www.renobighorns.com. The cost to try out is $150. Participants must be 18 years old to try out.

For more information, participants can call the Bighorns front office at 775-284-2622.
