Ardaugh Group Invests in Storey County

Posted: Updated:

A company that makes glass bottles, metal cans and other containers has announced it's investing $80 million in northern Nevada to build an advanced manufacuring facility.

"We looked at sites in Mexico, we looked at sites in California and western Nevada and western Nevada just emerged as a clear choice for us," says CEO James Willich.

The Ardaugh Group says they plan to hire 72 skilled manufacturing workers within the next six months for their new facility in Storey County - and then about 70 more after two more years.

According to the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada, the facility will bring robotic manufacturing technology to northern Nevada.
