Reward Offered for Info on Golf Course Vandalism

Posted: Updated:

Recurring vandalism at the closed D'Andrea Golf Course in Sparks is prompting a reward for information about those involved.

Authorities say the club house and other assets have been severely vandalized in recent days, weeks or months.

Sparks police say damage includes broken windows and graffiti. Repairs will cost thousands of dollars and could hamper efforts to revitalize the property.

Secret Witness on Tuesday said a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible. The amount of the reward has not been specified.

The golf course has been closed since March 2012 after a proposed deal to help keep it afloat through homeowner assessments was rejected by residents.
