Reno-Sparks Ca$h Mob Tuesday in Reno

Posted: Updated:

Each month, the Reno-Sparks Ca$h Mob encourages you to spend $10-$20 at one locally-owned business.

The Great Basin Community Food Cooperative is this month's featured business. It specializes in natural and organic foods, bulk items, beer and wine, a wellness department and hard-to-find speciality items.

You're invited to come out to the food co-op at 240 Court Street, at the corner of Flint Street one block east of Arlington Ave., from 10am-6pm. For more information, you can go to www.greatbasinfood.coop/

The City of Reno has granted free one-hour parking for shoppers at the co-op on a 90-day trial period. Parking is on Flint Street, between Ridge and Court. The Co-Op is open 7 days a week from 8am to 9pm.

For more than a year now, Ca$h Mob organizers have pushed the "shop local first" motto to help rebuild the local economy.
