Bank Robbery on North McCarran

Sparks Police are searching for information on a woman who robbed a Wells Fargo just before noon on August 3rd.

According to police reports, at 11:52 a.m. officers were called to bank robbery at the Wells Fargo at 400 North McCarran boulevard. Witnesses reported that a woman entered the bank and walked up to a teller. The woman then handed the teller a threatening note saying she was armed and demanding money. The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled.

Witnesses describe the suspect as a white female adult with shoulder-length orange-blonde hair, between 20 and 30, around 5'8" tall and weighing 170 to 200 lbs.  She was last seen in a blue sweatshirt with gray sweat pants and black tennis shoes.

The FBI and Washoe County Crime lab were also called to help with the investigation, police have security shots of the suspect and are asking that anyone who may recognize the suspect, or who knows anything about this, call Secret Witness at 322-4900.
