Former Vagos member Gary "Jabbers" Rudnick testified Wednesday in the murder trial of Ernesto Gonzalez, who's accused killing San Jose Hells Angel chapter president Jeffrey ‘Jethro' Pettigrew.

Rudnick says Pastor "Tata" Palafox, the Vagos International President ordered a hit on Pettigrew, during a secret meeting, the night of the murder.

"We were questioning why the San Jose charter was there," Rudnick said. "San Jose wanted to know what was going on and at a certain point, Tata put a green light on Pettigrew."

Rudnick, a former vice president of the Vagos' chapter in Los Angeles, already pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy to commit murder. Sentencing is set for August 22nd.

He also testified that a group of Vagos was ordered to keep the Hells Angels from reaching the elevators, as they headed to their hotel rooms, which lead to the brawl and shootout.

"Pettigrew was walking up," Rudnick said. "I approached him. "I asked him if we were all cool and he said 'I don't talk to bitches'. I told him I'm not a bitch. I'm just asking if everything's cool. And he took a swing at me."

Gonzalez faces several charges, including first degree murder and discharging a firearm in a structure during a fight at Trader Dick's inside John Ascuaga's Nugget on September 23, 2011.

A medical examiner has said Pettigrew was shot at least five times during the incident and the that the left side of his nose was nearly severed.

Defense lawyers have said Gonzalez shot Pettigrew because he feared Pettigrew was kicking another Vagos to death during the melee.

Prosecutors say Pettigrew's death was planned because of the club's rivalry, but the defense says the fight happened spontaneously.

Rudnick says he saw Gonzalez shoot Pettigrew from the Trader Dick's dance floor. He was kicked out of the club, shortly after the incident.

A witness that was on the stage there, also testified - pointing to Gonzalez as the shooter.
