Waste Management Holds Job Fair

Waste Management of Nevada is hosting a local job fair on Aug. 7-8 to recruit several Residential Driver positions to work at its Commercial Row location.

"As a valued community partner, it is important for us to hire local candidates," said John L'Angelle, district manager, Waste Management of Nevada. "They know our cities and our people the best."

Interested applicants are encouraged to pre-register by Monday, Aug. 5, 2013. Applicants that meet the qualifications will receive an appointment for a second interview, which will take place during the job fair. These individuals should arrive at the Job Fair with two copies of an up-to-date resume. 

Candidates can also walk-in during the job fair. They will be asked to fill out an online application and recruiters will be standing by to conduct the first interview. Qualified walk-in candidates should allow for at least two hours to complete the interview process.

Job Description:
The Residential Driver position will be trained to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle to pick up refuse and/or recycling on residential routes. This is an entry-level position, with no experience required. Applicants must be 21 years or older, able to speak and read English well enough to converse with the general public, a high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred and this position requires a commercial drivers license A or B (CDL) with airbrakes endorsement valid in Nevada.
