Police are investigating why a man died late Sunday night in downtown Reno.

Police say they were called to the 400 block of Evans Street late Sunday night on a report of a man down and bleeding.

Upon arrival, they found the man suffering from several injuries. The unidentified man was later transported by REMSA to Renown Regional Medical Center where he later died.

If you have any information on this crime, call Secret Witness at 322-4900. You can also text your tip to 847411 or enter your tip on www.secretwitness.com. You could be eligible for a reward - and your call will remain anonymous.

Meanwhile, Washoe County Deputies say just before midnight on Saturday there was fight at a bar in Washoe Valley. The man who was killed was involved in the altercation.

About 12 hours later, deputies were called to a location off of Wedge Parkway in Reno for a "man down" call. They say the man was driving in a car with someone when the driver called 9-1-1 and said they needed help.

Deputies got there and began to perform CPR on the man. He died at the scene.

Deputies are waiting results of the man's autopsy to determine if the fight played a role in the death
