The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a flash flood warning until 6:30pm for parts of Nevada, Lassen, Sierra and Washoe Counties.

A flash flooding warning is now issued for central Douglas and west central Lyon Counties until 6pm tonight.

And another flash flood warning is issued until 7pm for central Nye and west central Lincoln Counties.

CHP is reporting debris on I-80 near Farad.

Doppler radar also indicated heavy rain capable of producing flash flooding from a thunderstorm near Verdi moving north at 10mph.

Rainfall rates could exceed one inch in half hour.

As a precaution, do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely.
