Not a bad weekend if you are looking for a few Things 2 Do! Not only are there plenty of Artown events from which to choose, but there are plenty of outdoor and community events as well. The Tour de Nez bike race is this weekend centered at Wingfield Park and includes the famous Clunkers Race, hand cycles, a kid's race and of course the professionals. The Reno Bike Swap is just across the street at Barbara Bennett Park. That's all on Sunday. Enjoy!

Friday 7/26

Reno Rock Camp Concert 4:30pm Hug High:

Regular real kids have spent the week learning to play rock n' roll. And they'll be giving a concert of what they've learned starting at 4:30pm at the Boys and Girls Club at Hug High School.

Movies in the Park 9pm-11pm  The Iron Giant:

This 1999 animated movie starring Jennifer Aniston and Harry Conick Jr. is a family fun classic about a friendly alien robot. It's free and in Wingfield Park.

Antiques, collectibles, plants, household items tools and toys. This garage sale has it all. And aside from selling things, they'll also collect toys for the Toys for Tots program.

Circus Music at Silver Legacy Casino

A free concert of circus music will be held from 2pm-3:30pm at the Silver Baron Ballroom inside the Silver Legacy in downtown Reno. The concert will feature 21 musical selections including circus marches, overtures, rags and gallops. Musicians from more than 20 states have come to Reno for this annual summer meet of Windjammers Unlimited.

Trinity Episcopal Church in Reno has a fabulous pipe organ and beautiful stained glass windows. They'll be holding a series of short concert between noon and 5pm to show off them all off.

Sunday is the day to see bicycling. There are hand cycles, professional cyclists and those who bike for fun all included in this year's Tour de Nez centered at Wingfield Park in Reno.

Reno Bike Project Bike Swap 10am-3pm Barbara Bennett Park Arlington and Island:

And as part of the Tour de Nez, the Reno Bike Project is once again holding its bike swap. You can bring bikes to be sold on consignment, trade a bike straight up or just buy one. It's all about encouraging everyone to bike.

    The list of legal problems for the Washoe School District grew this morning as the State Attorney General's Office filed six counts each against the six trustees involved in the Pedro Martinez suit. But The School Board's outside counsel says he began working on settlement in that matter since last Wednesday and able to file it immediately.
