Every weekend is packed during Artown. But there's more than just art this weekend. Like a fundraiser to help the families of the firefighters lost in Prescott, Arizona earlier this summer. And a triathlon for kids in Carson City. Enjoy!

 

Friday 7/19

Rollin' on the River 5:30pm-8:30pm Blue Moon Swamp tribute to John Fogerty

It's the continuing Friday Night Concert Series for Artown Sponsored by The Reno News and Review and by Channel 2. And it's the perfect way to end the week! Wingfield Park in downtown Reno.

Silver State Young Chautauqua's Big Tent, Rancho San Rafael Park 

These are the youngest of the artful impersonators and they will be in the large tent at Rancho San Rafael Park from 6pm-9 p.m. in north Reno

Voices in the Night Play on prostitution 8pm-9:30 pm Nevada Museum of Art

This is for adults only…it's opening night for original monologues about prostitution in Nevada

AVA Ballet Wingfield Park Rock Ballet/Vortex 8:30pm-10:00pm

Vortex is an original rock ballet choreographed locally and performed by local dancers from the A.V.A Ballet. You can catch it Friday and Saturday nights at Wingfield Park.

Mansions on the Bluff walking tour McCarran House 9am-9:30 am

It's a day of all things Basque. The 47th Annual Basque Festival will be held in Wingfield Park and will include food, music, dancing and family fun. And it's free.

The Americana Festival is a blend of bluegrass and modern country music and it takes over Virginia City with headliners both Friday and Saturday night.

13th Annual Art Paws 10am-5 pm McKinley Arts and Culture Center

Everyone's invited to this event. Especially Fido. That's right an Artown Event for you and your pets. The events will include the animals and actually focus on them. It's at the McKinley Arts and Culture Center Sunday from 10 a.m.

Reno Little Theater is putting on Thornton Wilder's play "Our Town" about humanity and the cast would love to see you in the audience. Reno Little Theater is at 147 E. Pueblo Street in Reno. They'll be onstage Saturday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2pm.
