A hiring fair for veterans and military spouses will take place in Reno, and a military appreciation fair will happen in Minden.

The ‘Hiring Our Heroes' job fair will held inside the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa Tuesday, July 30th from 10am-1pm, with a workshop starting at 9am. The workshop will feature one-on-one mentoring sessions on resume building, job search tools, and interviewing techniques.

Since ‘Hiring Our Heroes' began in March 2011, more than 1,200 companies have hired 20,200 veterans and military spouses as result of more than 560 hiring fairs.

Interested job seekers should register for free at hoh.greatjob.net. Walk-in job seekers are also allowed, but veterans must provide proof of service.

The hiring event is being held in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's National Chamber Foundation, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, The American Legion, the Nevada Committee of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and the Department of Labor Veterans' Employment and Training Services.
