Places 2 Check Out: Happy Happy Joy Joy

Posted: Updated:

In Places 2 Check Out, we're taking a look at the 'Happy Happy Joy Joy' toy store in Midtown Reno.

Organizers say this toy store brings something for the whole family..

"I think it's really cool when I see families come in and the father gets as excited as the son does."

Though the toy store has its fair share of standard kids toys and collectibles, they work hard to stand out from the crowd with retro toys for nostalgic parents, a year-round area for zombie-themed toys and a collection of wine and beer related toys and trinkets.

Store owner Heather Lee Jones says that Happy Happy Joy Joy is a labor of love and a lot of that labor is searching to find the perfect fun and strange toys to sell.

"I frequent these stores a lot, go to trade shows...I just really try and search out things that have good design, that are interesting or fun or colorful," says

Happy Happy Joy Joy is located at 955 Virginia Street in Reno. For more information go to www.happyhappyreno.com
