Local troops and their families will soon have several shopping options under one roof, when a new commissary and Marine mart opens later this week.

This $10.3 million commissary was built in the Lincoln Military Housing area of Coleville, California south of Topaz Lake.

It will offer a wide range of options from groceries to electronics for active-duty military service members, guard and reserve members, military retirees and their authorized family members.

The store director of the new 12,166-square-foot commissary also serves the commissary at Naval Air Station Fallon.

The new commissary in Coleville opens this Wednesday. It replaces a smaller store, which had operated since 2003.
