NNMC Offers Free Diabetes Support Group

From Northern Nevada Medical Center:

The Wound Care Center at Northern Nevada Medical Center hosts free, monthly diabetes management, support and education group, on the last Tuesday of every month.

This month's seminar is on the topic of exercise and will be held from 5:30 to 6:30pm, Tuesday, June 25 at Sparks Medical Office Building, 2385 E. Prater Way, Suite 201, on the NNMC campus.

David Achibowski of InnerThin Health and Wellness will be discussing motivation and exercise and its role in the prevention and management of diabetes. More than 23 million people in the U.S. have diabetes, and proper exercise is critical when it comes to diabetes.

Healthy snacks are included. Registration is required. Call 775-352-5353 to RSVP.
