Gov. Sandoval Signs Bill Establishing Sesquicentennial License Plate

Posted: Updated:

From the Office of Governor Brian Sandoval:

Governor Brian Sandoval today signed AB 24, creating the 150th sesquicentennial license plate for Nevada drivers.

"Today marks one day closer to when Nevada begins the celebration of our 150th anniversary of statehood," Governor Brian Sandoval said.  "I am proud to sign this bill which will help our state prepare for the events and celebrations across Nevada as part of our sesquicentennial anniversary."

The license plates, which will cost $32.50, will be available through the DMV this summer and $25 dollars from the sale of each plate will support the celebration of Nevada's sesquicentennial anniversary.  Nevadans will be able to purchase the plates until October 31, 2016.

"The plates are available for a limited time only, so I encourage Nevadans to keep an eye on the DMV's website for more information," Sandoval added.
