More than 1,000 students graduated from Truckee Meadows Community College on Friday.
Nearly 400 students walked across the stage inside the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
The ceremony included graduates from 18 to 79 years of age.
"It was quite a thrill. I was really excited. And it was a lot of fun," says Kenneth Mickey.
Carla King adds, "I didn't even hear my name. I was so nervous, but it's been a long time."
And Angelo Cooper says, "It was a moment in time. It was priceless, you know? I wouldn't trade it for nothing in the world."
Some say they will continue their education at the University of Nevada while others are heading straight to work.
"Just continue with my current path that I'm on. I've got a good job and stuff. I just wanted to help myself," says Danielle Carlton.
In total, 1,086 students received recognition for completion for a multitude of programs at the state's only remaining community college, including 58 veterans and 16 international students.
