List of Memorial Day Holiday Closures; RTC Bus Schedule

Most Washoe County offices will be closed Monday, May 27 for the Memorial Day holiday. The following will be closed:

• Administrative offices at the Washoe County Complex on Ninth Street in Reno.
• Washoe County Senior Services facilities. However, the celebration of Older Americans Month continues on May 27 at the Reno Aces day game. Call (775) 356-3176 for more information or view the details online.
• All Washoe County Libraries will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day. The following libraries will also be closed Tuesday, May 28: Duncan/Traner, Incline Village, North Valleys, Northwest, Senior Center, Sierra View, South Valleys and Sparks. Please go to www.washoecountylibrary.us to place a hold, renew a checkout, download eBooks, research databases and more.
• The Washoe County District Court.
• The Washoe County District Attorney's Office.

The following will be open:
• The Washoe County Sheriff's Office reception/front desk.
• The office of the County Clerk at the Washoe County Complex on Ninth Street and Wells Avenue in Reno will remain open throughout the holiday from 8 a.m. to midnight for the issuance of marriage licenses, fictitious firm name and notary bond filings, as well as property tax payments for the Treasurer's Office.

From Washoe County

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) will be closed Monday, May 27 in honor of Memorial Day. All campuses will reopen on Tuesday, May 28. Registration for summer and fall 2013 classes is open and summer instruction begins on Tuesday, May 28. Register online now at www.tmcc.edu.

From City of Reno

Reno City Hall and City Administrative Offices will be closed Monday, May 27, 2013 in observance of Memorial Day.

For holidays hours for recreation facilities please visit Reno.gov.

Even with City offices closed, residents can still visit Reno.gov and access the "Self-Service Menu" to pay parking tickets, sewer bills, court fees, register for classes, file a police report, or enter a service request for Reno Direct

From RTC

The Regional Transportation Commission's administrative offices will be closed on Monday, May 27th in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

RTC RIDE, RAPID and CONNECT bus services will follow Sunday schedules for the holiday. RTC INTERCITY will not operate. RTC SIERRA SPIRIT in downtown Reno operates on the regular schedule every day of the year, including holidays.

RTC Passenger Services at RTC 4TH STREET STATION will be closed in observance of the holiday.

    The Reno Aces took the field on the road Saturday night marking their first victory at Security Service Field in game two of the series with 17 hits over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Trailing by two runs in the ninth, Reno rallied with six runs on six hits to take the final 12-8 lead. Kristopher Negrón was the hero on the night after he gave the Aces the advantage in the ninth with his bases loaded clearing double.
